"Helen of Wyndhorn," published by Dark Horse Comics,
follows the story of Helen Cole,
who inherits her grandfather's vast and mysterious
estate, Wyndhorn House, after the tragic
death of her father, C.K. Cole, a renowned pulp writer.
Struggling with grief and disorientation,
Helen initially causes chaos upon her arrival but
soon begins to uncover a lifetime of secrets
hidden within the mansion's numerous rooms.
As she delves deeper, Helen discovers
that the legendary adventures her father wrote
about might not
be mere fiction, as the woods surrounding the
estate hold ancient mysteries and perhaps
the characters from his stories.
This series blends gothic elements with
sword and sorcery, described as "Conan the Barbarian
meets The Wizard of Oz," and is brought to life
by the Eisner-winning team of Tom King & Bilquis Evely.
