coincidentally happened to be the hidden base of the

reclusive Professor Crabbe, inventor and do-gooder.

He drafted them into service

as his Crusaders, sending them

On a variety of dangerous

missions to ensure world peace.

Crabbe's Crusaders returned in 2018 in The Vigilant.
