Chidsea were in the doldrums as usual. In the previous four

and, once more, they were in the danger zone. They had some fine
players but had never been able to click as a team. Nick had been

  1. Greetings, many thanks for this blog and their inputs, in this case, I think that the drawner was another Ripoll, not Miguel, but Edmundo Fernández Ripoll "Edmond"

  3. The artist is not Edmond..., is a british - Years ago I set out to discover the identity of this cartoonist and after much searching I managed to find out his name; he was a British author, but I did not save the details.

  4. Definitely not Edmond - I think this was the Spanish artist Juan Ripoll.

  5. Hi there, as far as I know, there isn't any Spanish artist called Juan Ripoll; he isn't mentioned in Tebeosfera, Wikipedia, Lambiek, and so on. I couldn't find any record about his life or career apart from some mentions of his name in some blogs and websites.

I think there are three possibilities; the first one is that Juan Ripoll is an unknown artist for most of us, the second one is that Juan Ripoll is a pen-name of Edmond Fernández Ripoll, and finally the last one is that there was a transcription mistake with the name, for instance, (Edmond as John, remenber John is Juan in Spanish)

Anyway I'd like to know the source of the information about Juan Ripoll

    Luis Miguel
